GMI Opens Office in the Netherlands

Leon de Koning Appointed as Managing Director

London, - GMI (Global Market Insite, Inc.), the only provider of integrated solutions for global market intelligence, today announced the expansion of its European management team with Leon de Koning, Managing Director for Northern Europe, who will head up GMI's newly established office in s Hertogenbosch, the Netherlands. De Koning will be driving GMI's expansion into the Northern European market.

Leon de Koning joins GMI from SPSS Europe, a provider of predictive analytics software and solutions. He brings extensive experience in market research software and territory management to GMI, having worked for SPSS since 1995, most recently as Territory Sales Manager for Northern Europe.

The opening of the Dutch office is part of a wider European strategy for GMI. The company recently announced the expansion of its European senior management team with three new senior-level appointments - all of which have come from SPSS - to grow the business in Europe. This includes the upcoming opening of a GMI office in Munich and in Moscow. The German office is headed by Uwe Lorenz, Managing Director for Central and Eastern Europe. In November, GMI announced the completion of its acquisition of MI Pro AS, a developer of next-generation desktop analytics software, which is run as a wholly owned subsidiary of GMI based in Norway and Sweden. In addition, the company is planning to release new European language versions of its powerful NET-MR market research software platform in 2006.
